GTA VI’s launch trailer is here, and Rockstar has brought a new Justice track along for the ride. Released on 15 October 2026, the trailer arrives ahead of the game’s announced 19 November 2026 release on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

The music reveal is a substantial part of this update: Rockstar identifies the electronic duo as the composers of GTA VI’s original score. There is also something for South African listeners to dig into on the game’s radio page, where amapiano and 3-step are explicitly part of the line-up.

Watch Rockstar Games’ official upload below. In the video’s description, the studio says the trailer was captured entirely in-game on a PlayStation 5. That describes the footage’s source; it is not a promise of a particular frame rate or performance mode.

Jason and Lucia’s trouble runs across Leonida

Rockstar’s official story summary centres on Jason and Lucia being pulled into a criminal conspiracy across Leonida after a job goes wrong. Their dependence on each other remains central to the setup.

The studio’s character profiles add the useful background. Jason Duval spent time in the Army before working for drug runners in the Keys. Lucia Caminos, meanwhile, has recently left prison and is determined to build a better life. Those biographies provide context without having to turn every brief trailer shot into a supposed mission reveal.

Justice, the score and the new single

The trailer introduces Flower in a Hurricane by Justice, featuring Tame Impala, SZA and King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard. The song is also part of Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album, which Rockstar’s music page lists for 19 November with 34 original tracks.

There are three separate pieces to keep straight: Justice’s original score, the multi-artist album and the in-game radio stations. The single connects the trailer to the album, but Rockstar has not assigned it to a particular radio station in this announcement. The music page offers album pre-save and physical pre-order links, alongside station previews.

The amapiano connection for SA listeners

Afro Bank FM is the station to check first if amapiano is your thing. Rockstar describes its selection as amapiano, African classics and 3-step, with Burna and Palmsy named on the station’s listing. That is a concrete local-interest detail, rather than a fan-made soundtrack wish list.

Station previews are useful early samples, but should not be treated as complete track lists.

The release details to keep in mind

Rockstar’s current release listing remains 19 November 2026 for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. The launch announcement does not give a PC release date. It also does not establish South African retail pricing or a local unlock time, so neither should be inferred from the trailer.
