One Piece has a new job for the Straw Hat crew: running a restaurant. Bandai Namco announced on 23 October that One Piece: Grand Gourmet is available, bringing Kairosoft’s pixel-art management style to the world of Luffy and friends.
The publisher lists Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, Steam, iOS and Android. This is a single-player management game, not a new arena fighter or a multiplayer pirate adventure.
Build a restaurant aboard the Baratie Number Two
The setting is the Baratie Number Two, where the Straw Hats turn ingredients, cooking and hospitality into a floating business. Sanji handles the food side while players develop the restaurant, work on menus and make room for more customers.
Bandai Namco’s European launch announcement describes collecting ingredients and building up the restaurant as part of the adventure. The aim is not simply to decorate a familiar One Piece location: the choices feed into how the business grows.
That makes this a different kind of licensed game to put on your radar. If the appeal is spending time with the cast rather than mastering another combat system, the management format is the main hook.

More than 400 characters
The official game page advertises more than 400 One Piece characters appearing as customers and staff, plus over 200 furnishings and building items. Character preferences matter: catering to them can encourage return visits, while some customers can open specialist shops inside the restaurant.
Those are publisher descriptions of the game’s systems, not the results of a TGR playthrough. We have not reviewed its progression, mobile controls or performance across the different platforms.
The screenshots show the compact pixel-art presentation associated with Kairosoft, with restaurant layouts and menu screens taking the place of a large 3D world. The official launch video gives a clearer look at that style in motion.
Platforms and South African availability
Bandai Namco’s announcement lists the five platforms above, but does not establish a South African price for each version. We have not independently confirmed every local mobile-store listing, so check your own regional storefront before making a purchase. No rand price or identical worldwide unlock time is implied here.
The official product page also notes that some mobile devices may not be compatible. Check the requirements on the relevant store rather than assuming that a listed mobile release will run on every phone.
