South African League of Legends teams can enter the 2026 Nedbank Summoner Tournament, with two online qualifier weekends leading to a R100,000 final at rAge Nation. The first registration window closes on 6 November, ahead of matches on 7 and 8 November.
Mettlestate’s official event hub places the finals at Fourways Mall in Johannesburg from 27 to 29 November. Teams must qualify for that final; it is not an open walk-in competition.
Two weekends to qualify
The current tournament rulebook lists qualifier one for 7–8 November and qualifier two for 14–15 November, with play from 10:00 to 18:00 SAST on each day. Second-qualifier registration closes on 13 November. Two teams advance from each weekend.
Keep those weekends clear before entering. Matches run on a rolling schedule, so agreeing a convenient time with the opposing captain is not the system here. A squad that can play one match but cannot stay available for the next should settle that problem before signing up.

Check your roster and accounts
The competition uses PC, 5v5 and the EUW server. Players need valid Riot accounts without active bans, complete Mettlestate profiles and matching registered in-game names.
There is an eligibility caveat worth resolving early. The rules describe a South Africa-only league, but the international-player sections use different wording about who can appear at the LAN. If your roster includes an international player, obtain an administrator’s ruling before registering or booking travel.
The overview and detailed rules also differ on the qualifier format. Use the organizer’s current instructions and ask tournament staff to resolve the discrepancy rather than assuming the bracket shown elsewhere is definitive.
Practise a wider champion pool
The rulebook specifies Fearless Draft: a champion used by either team cannot be picked again during the series. First place receives R50,000, followed by R25,000, R15,000 and R10,000. These are finals prizes, not payments for entering.
For a team preparing together, that gives practice a clear purpose: work out alternative picks across all five roles and discuss what happens when a comfort pick disappears. Checking that everyone can connect reliably to the required server is also more useful than discovering a problem at check-in.
Where to enter
Start at the official qualifier page and follow Join Event. Read the complete rules first; the summary above is not a substitute for eligibility and match requirements. Mettlestate directs participants to its tournament Discord for announcements and support. Entry fees and spectator arrangements have not been verified here.
