Riot has introduced Hush, VALORANT’s new Duelist, with the RISE AND FALL agent trailer. The reveal appeared in the publisher’s official news feed on 18 October, and VALORANT’s own listing places the agent in Season 26, Act VI.

The trailer is the centrepiece of the announcement. Watch the upload linked directly from Riot below, rather than relying on a repost or a fan-made ability concept.

What is confirmed so far?

The official announcement confirms Hush’s name, Duelist role and Act VI release window. We have not verified an exact release date or South African unlock time from the official sources checked for this report. The announcement should therefore not be read as confirmation that Hush is already selectable in-game.

We are also holding off on ability costs, cooldowns and definitive team-composition advice. Those details need a verified gameplay breakdown or patch documentation; a reveal trailer is better enjoyed as the introduction than treated as a complete competitive guide.

Act VI has already brought other changes

There is useful context for returning players in patch 13.08, published on 13 October. Riot’s Act VI update introduced Map Rating for Competitive and Premier, using recent results and performance to show how a player is progressing on individual maps. The ratings start fresh, rather than importing historical matches.

The same patch moved Bind and Corrode into the Competitive and Deathmatch map pools, with Ascent and Split moving out. Corrode also received layout adjustments, including shorter defender rotations towards its two sites.

If Hush’s reveal has you planning a return, those live changes are worth catching up on while you wait for verified agent availability. Learning the current maps and checking your own client’s update status will be more useful than building a ranked plan around unconfirmed numbers.
