Vice City has taken to the real-world skies. A Goodyear blimp wearing the fictional city’s name has been photographed over Miami, giving Grand Theft Auto VI a striking piece of airborne promotion ahead of its November release.

This is not a new gameplay reveal. The aircraft is a real Goodyear airship, and the photographs show its Vice City branding in a real city rather than an in-game scene.

From a Florida sighting to Goodyear’s own photos

South Florida broadcaster WSVN documented the blimp on 15 October 2026, with its 7Skyforce team capturing it from the air. That provides an eyewitness record of the aircraft beyond the images circulating among GTA fans.

On 19 October, Goodyear Blimp shared its own photographs with a playful location caption: “Vice City, Leonida, USA”. One view shows the airship above Miami at dusk; another offers a closer look at the pink Vice City lettering, Goodyear branding and Wingfoot Three markings.

The effect is simple but memorable: a place players know from a screen becomes something people can look up and see. The dusk photograph makes that contrast especially clear, setting the branded aircraft against the illuminated waterfront.

What the blimp does, and does not, tell us

The photographs establish the real-world branding. They do not explain the commercial terms behind it, so there is no confirmed partnership price or contract detail to report here. Nor should an advertising airship be treated as confirmation that a particular aircraft will be flyable in GTA VI.

The dates matter, too. The documented South Florida sighting was on 15 October, followed by Goodyear’s social post on 19 October. These are not images of a newly announced event taking place today, and they do not establish a South African appearance.

The release details for South African players

Rockstar’s official GTA VI page currently lists 19 November 2026 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The blimp promotion does not change those announced platforms or the release date.

For South African fans, this is a look at the international build-up to the game, not a local launch activation or a new pricing announcement. We are not attaching a rand price or a local event date to photographs that establish neither.

The appeal here is the spectacle itself: Vice City’s identity is strong enough to turn a familiar advertising aircraft into a recognisable GTA moment, without needing to show another second of gameplay.
