Arrowhead has set 20 October for Helldivers 2’s Scope of Authority Premium Warbond, a collection built around precision shooting and concealment. The announcement introduces new equipment without promising a specific South African rollout time. Arrowhead’s announcement

Precision weapons and concealment

The R-40 Sightliner is a primary bolt-action sniper rifle firing armour-piercing rounds. It is joined by the one-handed P-44 Mist machine pistol, the backpack-fed AMW-20 Apex anti-materiel rifle with assisted reloading, and the LAS-44 Nova, which charges before firing a non-explosive thermal projectile. G-11 Caltrops scatter proximity-triggered submunitions that slow and stun enemies.

Two armour sets support that approach: the light SS-33 Mimetic Marshal and medium SS-15 Focal Point. Both have Stationary Shroud, a passive that reduces weapon sway and enemy detection range while the player is crouched or prone.

What South African players should know

Sony’s South African game page lists Helldivers 2 for PS5, PC and Xbox, with Xbox support covering Series X|S. It also currently lists the base game in the PlayStation Plus Extra catalogue. Online play is required, and PS5 players need PlayStation Plus.

Warbonds work as in-game catalogues rather than an instant grant of every featured item. Sony’s explainer says players purchase a Warbond using Super Credits, then earn Medals through missions and spend them to unlock its contents. For a squad considering this collection, the practical question is whether a more deliberate shooting role fits its usual pace. The reveal establishes the equipment’s intended role; a verdict on damage, handling or value will need hands-on play.
