Marvel Cosmic Invasion is giving its next expansion a repeatable assault on Doctor Doom’s fortress. Dotemu and Tribute Games showed the Castle Doom mode in a new gameplay trailer on 26 October, ahead of The Siege of Castle Doom DLC’s planned 10 November release.

The publisher’s announcement lists Steam, PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch and Switch 2. This is premium DLC rather than a free update.

Each attempt sends players through Doom’s defences before he activates the Cosmic Inductor. Successful encounters help charge Reed Richards’ Stabilizer, while failed challenges can weaken your fighters. The castle’s forces become stronger as the Siege Gauge rises; filling it completely before the final confrontation ends the attempt.

Choose your route through Doomstadt

In Tribute Games’ developer breakdown, level designer Kevin Chiasson explains how themed doors shape each run. Some lead to equipment, others to healing, temporary rule changes or batteries that advance your progress. Another route can grant unlimited ammunition or focus.

Perks belong to individual heroes and fall into offensive, defensive and tactical branches. That gives a co-op group reasons to coordinate its choices rather than build every character the same way. Multiplayer runs also have an MVP system that highlights player statistics.

Reed’s Lab adds longer-term progression through equipment, events and modifiers that can change later attempts. Completing a run also earns a new colour palette for the hero used.

Two more playable characters

The expansion also includes Doctor Doom and Invisible Woman. The official Steam listing describes Doom’s combination of advanced armour and occult abilities, alongside Susan Storm’s light-bending and force-field powers. It lists 12 perks, new unlockable colour palettes and additional music from Tee Lopes.

Steam currently marks the DLC as unreleased and confirms that the base game is required. The announced date is 10 November; the checked sources do not establish a South African price or local unlock time.
