Love discovering games and sharing what you think? Join The Game Room SA’s Playtest & Review Club.

We’re building a community of gamers who can help test games, give useful feedback and contribute independent reviews. Applications are open to people aged 18 and over. You do not need a big following to apply.

Two ways to get involved

Private playtest feedback: try an eligible game or build and share structured feedback with The Game Room SA. Any developer reporting, confidentiality rules and deadlines will be explained before you accept.

Community reviews and previews: contribute an honest review or preview for our website. We’ll agree the brief, credit and permission to publish your work separately. Applying does not give us permission to publish your application or private feedback.

How it works

Tell us about your platforms, interests and availability below. When a suitable opportunity is confirmed, we’ll contact selected applicants with the game, requirements and terms. You can decide whether to take part.

Applying does not guarantee a game code, selection, payment or a published review. Opportunities depend on publisher permission, available codes, platform and regional eligibility. We are collecting interest now; no community code allocation is promised.

Any supplied code is for its authorised recipient and purpose only, not resale or redistribution. Reviews must reflect your own experience, including criticism. We do not require positive coverage or Steam reviews. Published coverage must disclose when a review code or other benefit was supplied. Embargoes and confidentiality terms will be shared before participation.

Apply to join

Please apply only if you are 18 or older. Do not include your date of birth, address, passwords, ID documents or game keys. Country or region is enough for eligibility checks.

Your application and your privacy

Applications go privately to The Game Room SA through this website’s WordPress/Jetpack form and our email inbox. We use your details to assess suitability, match you with potential opportunities and contact you about the club. Your application is not a public review.

We will ask for your permission before sharing your personal application details with a publisher or developer. You can request a correction, withdraw your application or ask us to remove your application details by emailing thegameroomsa@gmail.com. Please use the email address you applied with.
